The Nov. 7 ballot will include a $970-million bond referendum for public school construction to accommodate more than 7,000 new students added to the school system each year. If approved, this bond will pay for:
- 17 new schools, including 11 elementary, four middle and two high
- Major renovations of 13 schools, and repairs and maintenance at another 100
- A five-year technology replacement program
- Land and design costs for 13 future schools.
Please educate yourself on this important issue and, no matter what your choice, remember to vote.
