Googolplex is now hiring youth editorial board members.

Googolplex is recruiting youth editorial board members for the 2006/07 season. We seek youth who are currently in grades 3 through 11. Editorial board members will send Googolplex a written critique of the new story and activity at their levels each month. At the end of next school year, each youth will be paid to write one story for the magazine.

The board will consist of 9 to 12 members, three or four of which will review the 5-Spot (elementary school) level, three or four of which will review the AJs Mall (middle school) level, and three or four of which will review the C-Note University (high school) level.

The pay scale is:

• Elementary-school youth: $200 at the end of the term when their reviews and story are complete.
• Middle-school youth: $300 at the end of the term when their reviews and story are complete.
• High-school youth: $400 at the end of the term when their reviews and story are complete.

Deadline for application is May 15, 2006. Term starts June 1, 2006, and ends May 31, 2007.
