Meet Jackson Glasgow. Before the start of the 2005-06 school year, very little excited him as much as getting back to experience the fresh smell of turf and the crisp sound of colliding shoulder pads and football helmets. He remained positive and modestly prepared for the future after breaking his ankle and missing much of the last football and basketball seasons.
He often overcame the monotony of a long intensive rehabilitation process by concentrating on his studies and by serving with others in his church.
Today he’s Coastal’s Scholar Athlete of the month! Why? He’s emerged as number one in his class and is ready to earn the privilege of serving as his school’s valedictorian. He carries himself like a noteworthy senior and is on the go as a respected school leader.
On any given Friday Night
Catch a glimpse of Jackson Glasgow and the 4-A East Wake Warriors. He’ll not only tear through the school’s banner as the varsity football team’s starting center. In the future, he’ll serve as a team leader on East Wake’s varsity basketball and tennis teams.

“Jackson is a great kid who handles himself well through true adversity. He stays focused as a top- notch student, is active in his church and has always been a positive role model on and off the field. He’s totally respected by his teammates and fellow classmates and that’s what matters most.”
