Coastal’s Bounce Guard Courtesy Overdraw feature doesn’t cost you anything unless you use it! There is no regular monthly fee added to your account because you have Bounce Guard account protection.

Keep in mind that if you opt-out of Bounce Guard, Coastal reserves the right to return ALL items presented to a checking account with Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and charge a $27 fee for EACH unpaid item.

At $25 the Bounce Guard fee is not only less costly than an NSF charge, it may also help you avoid additional fees (and potential embarrassment) imposed by the merchants to whom the checks were written.
