How to Join on a Personal Level

  1. Membership as an Employee Benefit or Association Benefit

  2. To see if you are eligible to join Coastal via an employee or association benefit, examine our list of Select Employee Groups.

  3. Family Membership

    • Membership is also available to the immediate family and households of eligible members.
    • Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild. This includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings and adoptive relationships.
    • Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.

  4. North Carolina Consumers Council (NCCC) Membership

    • NCCC is a non-profit, statewide consumer advocacy organization that addresses topics such as tax law fairness, telemarketing, energy efficiency, consumer product safety and NC playground safety. By joining NCCC for a $36 two-year membership (annual renewal is $10), you qualify for Coastal Federal Credit Union Membership.
